Artwork
Pencil - Pencil is my favorite medium because to me it is the most flexible. Not to mention the most accesible.
Working with pencil allows me to shade indefinitely and refine over and over very small areas. I'm sure on some drawings
I have ended up spending hours on a single square inch just because of the shading.

Just a sketch. |
This is the first and only live portrait I've done. The nose is a little wide and the cheeks are a bit pudgy, but
other than those I'm very happy with it. |
This was my first portrait from a picture. You can see the paper is getting pretty old and dingy plus there are roll lines from
the scan. The hair is pretty bad, and my style and technique have changed a lot. |
Ink - Using a pen can be a very freeing expression because marks are permanent as soon as you touch the paper,
but this of course can also make it very frustrating. I don't work when pen very often.

Watercolors - Watercolors are beautiful. They just are. I would choose a watercolor over almost any other piece of art.
I haven't done very many. In fact, I've only done three in my entire life. The first one was lost by my art teacher in high
school and the two below are studies of other paintings, so I've actually never even done an original. Maybe some day.
